Bucketfeet is a Chicago-based company that gives artists from around the world a platform to share their work through wearable art—specifically, shoes. In 2013, I submitted a design titled "The Perfect Gentleman," inspired by my beloved Boston Terrier, Dylan. After two long and hopeful years, I received the exciting news that Bucketfeet had selected my design—and from there, its success took off.
 

This shoe marked a true "I've made it" moment for me as an artist. My social media quickly filled with tags, messages, and photos from Boston Terrier and French Bulldog lovers around the world. Seeing people wearing my design alongside their canine companions became a daily joy.
 

The popularity of The Perfect Gentleman led to even more opportunities: Bucketfeet released a children’s version of the shoe, as well as matching socks. Eventually, the design—and a select few others—expanded beyond the Bucketfeet platform and found its way into major retailers like Nordstrom.
 

My journey with Bucketfeet will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m endlessly grateful for the opportunity they gave me to share my art with the world.
